The trajectory of the research group has been built upon the discussion on the role and interaction of local actors (State, Society and Business) in the territorial development process. The studies were driven by research on policy-oriented aspects of the process of appropriation and transformation of geographical spaces with specific natural resources and infrastructure, made dynamic by integrated actors in social, cultural and economic relations. The approach is integrated and systemic concerning aspects of development in order to understand the process and the effectiveness of public policy in the territorial development dynamics . The research lines address cross-cutting issues that guide this integrated and systemic approach by defining the research to the local and regional level. Thus, it is proposed to develop models, simulate, evaluate and understand public policies and the territorial development process.
