At the City Council, the group was received by Cristina Fonseca de Jesus (Administrative Technician); Luciane de Fátima Pereira (Legislative Analyst); and Antonio Carlos Torrens (Analyst). The first dealt with the public budget and the commissions that involve the functioning of the council. The second presented the structure of the council and the role of councilmen and the forms of propositions and procedures of the laws. The third portrayed the objectives of the School of the Legislative that seeks to provide political education to the population.
With this initiative, UTFPR approaches the community and increases the dialogue about the possibilities of articulation of the institution as a teaching, research and extension institution, responsible for the training of professionals and citizens, members of a democratic process in consolidation.
The Council, through its representatives, reinforced the interest of this approach and put itself at the disposal of UTFPR to even teach courses and lectures at the university itself.
